Mrs. Herlene B. Cates, 88, of Clinton, Arkansas was born March 9, 1930 in Jerusalem, Arkansas to the late Hurley and Annie Bell (Watson) Reynolds and passed from this life on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock, Arkansas.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Elbert T. Cates of Clinton, Arkansas, two brothers; Luke Reynolds, Lawrence Reynolds, two sisters; Edna Lee Bryant and Lotha Bagby.

Left to cherish her memory are two sons; Carmon Holley (Verna) of El Paso, Texas, Kerry Cates (Carolyn) of Sherwood, Arkansas, two grandchildren; Eric Cates of Dallas, Texas, Nancy Shahan (Chris) of Sherwood, Arkansas, two great grandchildren; Erin Shahan, Grant Shahan, of Sherwood, Arkansas, one niece, Nancy Brents Jacks (A.J.), of Clinton, Arkansas, several other nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton, Arkansas. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will be at Quattlebaum Cemetery in Clinton, Arkansas.
