Donald Wesley Chalk, 89, of Dennard, Arkansas was born January 3, 1929 to the late Thomas and Florence (Archer) Chalk in Higden, Arkansas and passed from this life on May 25, 2018 at his home. He was a truck driver by trade, drove a school bus for Clinton Public School systems in later years and was of the Baptist faith. Donald was from a large family and will be deeply missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers; Hollis Chalk, Alvin Chalk, Thurman Chalk, Thomas ONeal Chalk, one half-brother, Cecil Chalk, three sisters; Euple Henry, Sue Standley, Christine Wolfe and one half-sister, Mittie Archer.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving companion, Patsy Harmon, of the home, one son, Danny Chalk of Dennard, two sisters; Maudie Faye Reese, of Jackson, Georgia, Annie Holley of Botkinburg, one brother; L.C. Chalk of Clinton, other relatives and many friends.

Pallbearers : Mike Eskridge, Dalton Smiley, John Chalk, Jay Chalk, Jim Henry and Bruce Chalk.

Honorary Pallbearers: Randall Wolf, Gary Wolf, Bill Henry, Jeremy Smiley, Junior Holley, Thomas Holley, Ronald Watts, and Don Stapleton.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at the Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton, Arkansas. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home with interment following at Dennard Cemetery.

As a classmate of L.C. Chalk, CSVTS Class of 1957, I was saddened to learn of the passing of his brother. My thoughts and sympathy are with the family. I still have fond memories of our days in school.
