I was just remembering Ginny talking about when your dad applied for the job in Clinton, your mom made him explain before they hired him that his wife had a mind of her own and that they had to understand she might be up in a tree or walking barefoot in the grass. I loved talking with her and sitting on the swing on the porch. She was a wonderful help in getting the Van Buren County Recycling Center into existence. I adored her and miss knowing that I can go visit to feel loved by her. She always made me stronger after a visit. My heart goes out to you Luke and Joan and the rest of your family. May you still bask in her love and adoration for each of you.

Luke & Joanie we are so sad at the passing of your mother. She was a great mother to you kids & a wonderful neighbor & woman. We have loved your family since the day you all came to Clinton. We are feeling overwhelmed with emotion for all your losses. We always smile when we go by your house on School St. We really miss uncle Eddie as our grandchildren called him when he came to our house at the lake with treats for them. I will never forget passing by your place one day when I was delivering Little Debbie's & your mom & Emma Hink were walking down the street. I slowed down & threw out a box of cupcakes behind them & it landed flat on the asphalt making a big clap scare by them both- she got a big laugh out of that. She will truly be missed by our family. You both are in our thoughts & prayers & love.

Luke and Joanie I’m so sorry to hear about Aunt Sis. I loved her so much. She was such a strong woman and beautiful person. I always wanted to pattern myself after her. She was an inspiration to me and I told her many times! Her always humble response was a wonderful laugh and “I can’t understand why but thank you I love you too”. She was one of a kind and such an independent, loving and genuine person. I loved her dearly. She will always be with me. Much love to you both.

We are so sorry for your loss. She was a very sweet and kind lady. When Jim was re-doing her kitchen years ago, they had many interesting discussions which they both enjoyed. Mr. Cowsert was a great superintendent and I can't imagine anyone better suited to be his wife than her. She will be missed by all who knew her.

To the Cowsert family:

Kenny says Mr. Cowsert was the best supertendent Clinton ever had or will ever have. Ms. Cowsert was just as great in her own way. She will certainly be missed but both will also be remembered with fondness. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this difficult time.

Dearest Luke and Joanie,
Our hearts break for the loss of your wonderful sweet mom. We know you will miss her so much and we hope you can cherish all the precious moments when she made you smile. She had a special way about her and that's what we admired. She loved her family and she loved life. She respected nature and delighted in its beauty. She walked barefoot in the grass. She was independent and strong and good. We send strong heartfelt hugs.......love you.

So sorry to hear of Mrs. Cowsert's passing. She and Mr. Cowsert were always so kind to me. I loved them both. She would visit me from time to time in my classroom to get an answer to a sewing question she had. Even after I retired she would call me with questions. I was also honored to be ask to be a witness when she signed her will. A special lady who will be missed..

Joan, Luke and families....Coach Koen and I are so sad to hear that your mom is gone from you and from us. We loved both your dad and your mom, and all of you children, too. The Cowsert family made our lives much richer having known you. May the Lord be with you as you learn to live without your mom. The 'old' rock house will be lonely looking without Ginny inside it. We love you and know you will be in our prayers.

We were truly saddened to hear that Ginny had passed away. We were thinking of her on Halloween, after having spent many great, spooky nights at her house!
We loved her dearly and always enjoyed visiting with her when she stopped by the shop. She lived life on her own terms and always had an interesting point of view. She was spunky and energetic - a great role model.
We'll miss seeing her driving around in her beloved blue diesel pickup! We are so very sorry for your loss.
