Durward Jackson, 90, of Clinton was born February 22, 1927 to the late Floyd and Hattie (Yates) Jackson and passed from this life May 17, 2017 in Clinton. Durward was a devout Christian and churchman. He loved his church and to play and sing gospel music.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Chester Jackson and Paul Jackson, three sisters, Mary Marie Matthews, Bonnie Cato and Mae Louise Jackson.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of almost 70 years, Yvonne Jackson of the home, three children; Nathalee Lowder (Jerry), Ronald Jackson (Dovie), Janet Kirkendoll (Jimmie), six grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at the Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am on Friday, May 19, 2017 at the Christian Lighthouse Church on Scotland - Formosa Road.
I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Jackson's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Reading Rev. 21:3, 4 have always brought me comfort, and hopefully will do the same for you.

I so hate to hear of Dewards passing,,,,he was a sweet man,,always ready with a smile and so friendly...a kind heart ,,,with love for his family and friends...Even though I was only married into the family for 11 years (formally married to Louis Jackson),,,Deward was always sweet and kind....I know he will be so greatly missed by you all.
