LaVerta H. Driver 89, of Clinton, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015. She was born August 3, 1925 in Choctaw, Arkansas to Edgar and Nellie (Sumners) Hunter.

She is survived by relatives Patsy Huie, Marjorie Sumners, Danna Wood, Joy Dickie, Wanda Bellman, Delorse Courson and other extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Nellie Hunter and husband, Woodrow (Woody) Driver. When LaVerta was 15 months old her immediate family was killed in a devastating tornado that hit on Thanksgiving Day in 1926. She was raised by loving family members. Laverta went on to graduate high school and later attended beauty school and became a beauty operator. LaVerta cherished the companionship of friends Nettie Smith and Mary Auvil.

LaVerta's family would like to acknowledge the care she received the last 11 years at Ozark Health Nursing Center in Clinton.

Visitation will be 10:00am and Funeral Service will be 11:00am Monday, January 12, 2015 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel Clinton, Arkansas. Burial will follow in Huie Cemetery.

Laverta was a very special person and she will be missed by all of us who knew her
God has prepared a special place for her and we will see her again.
