So sorry for your lost. We just found out that Ernie passed. Sorry we are late in letting you know how sorry we are. I worked for Ernie at Fairfield Bay Construction and he was the best boss I have ever had....truly a great guy!
So sorry for your loss. Our thoughts & prayers are will the family.
What a fine man we've lost. He was a wonderful boss and a good friend and I won't forget him, He lived a life of integrity and good character. I regret that I was sick and unable to attend his services. My prayers continue for his family.
Praying for y'all! Wish I could have made it there but it just didn't work out for me to. I have such great memories of him and the whole family! Much love to you all!
Prayers are with you all at this sad time. Call if there is anything we can do to help you.
So many memories of a man with amazing talents! My favorite was the Willie bandana! Always a story and always laughter! You will be forever missed in this house!
To all,
Ernie was our mentor. He was a fine example for a group of young college dudes on how to be a great husband, dad, friend, and a band leader that leaves his ego at the door and enjoys life. He schooled us on playing Country. We would have never made it to Nashville without him. I got to visit with him last year and will always regret not going to Clinton one more time to jam.
Louis, Jeff, Lori, and All,
Many thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. Ernie was a very talented man, artistically and musically, and the iconic American cowboy in my eyes. I have good memories of attending rodeos as a child and seeing him there. He will be greatly missed. I never thought of Louise without thinking of Ernie; in my mind, they always came as a pair because that's how I remember my parents speaking of them. They always said "Louise and Ernie" as though they were one. I will always remember, too, that Louise and Ernie and my parents all eloped together. Both couples were truly models of what it means to live "until death do us part." Love, peace, and blessings to you all.
I am smiling as I think about Ernie. Thanks for all the music and the friendship. Ernie Gardner was a true Gentleman. I'm proud to have known him.
Dear Folks:
My heart is so heavy. We shared so many great times and memories with Ernie, Louise and our "Country Fry" band. So fun -- friends, family, neighbors all play forever in my memory. Ernie was The Best: A truly great man. Sending love and comfort to Louise, Jeff and Laurie and all Ernie's wonderful family.
"You were always on my mind"

Lori and family, we are so sorry to hear about your loss.
Praying for comfort for all in this difficult time.
With Deepest Sympathy,
Steve, Martina, Zac and Mercedes.
I had the pleasure of playing music with Ernie, Sammy Collums, BJ Davis, and Jim Lefler back in the '70s. We had a lot of fun times and the camaraderie was great. Ernie was one of the good ones. Even though I've not seen him for many years, I'm sure he'll be missed tremendously. My thoughts and prayers to everyone in the family.
Louise and Family you are all in my thoughts and prayers. God will comfort you and help ease the pain of losing Ernie.
God bless all of you
Papa, you will be greatly missed. I cannot express how my heart feels today. I know that Papa is in a much better place without pain & suffering. I will forever live on the memories of Papa teaching me to drive the tractor & not being upset when I ran it into the ditch, teaching me to jump in the swimming pool by simply holding on to a string, & being a wonderful great-grandpa to my daughter, Briley. Papa, we will miss you deeply but will see you again some day.
Love,
Lance, Rebekah, & Briley
