Dear Anna Grace and Chandler family,
Your Mother was such a precious person - always full of energy and joy! She had a lot of pride in her family and loved her children. I rememeber her kneeling down to listen to Anna Grace talk one day at our house - she made you feel like you were the only person in the world when you were having a conversation with her. I know she will be missed, but remember how much she loves you all. Our family's prayers and with you.

I have only just learned that Nancy lost her battle with ALS. I am so sorry I did not know sooner. She and I developed a friendship over the years as we chatted on the phone, and in person, regarding the numerous cakes I had created for so many Chandler Family occasions. She was one of a kind. Always so cheerful and generous and positive and kind. I have missed our conversations the past year or so during her illness, but had kept track somewhat with her on her blog. We had exchanged a few emails during that time. She was a truly good human being, and I will miss her so much. My heartfelt sympathy to the entire Chandler Family.

Dear Jeff Chandler Family: Please know my thoughts and prayers are with each of you as you walk this grief journey. It was such a blessing to me to be introduced to Nancy and your family and to get to know you when I lived next door to Ashley & Scott P. I loved Nancy's presence the times I was blessed to be around her! Such a sweet, friendly and nurturing personality. I know you miss her immensely. I am so sorry the last year and a half was met with such difficulty for Nancy physically as she dealt with ALS. Such a cruel disease. I am reminded of our Lord's words: "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In this world you have trials and tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world." John 16:33 It is sweet to think of Nancy now rejoicing in her inheritance of an eternity of problem-free living in Heaven and being face to face with her Jesus! She's no longer bound by ALS! Much love to all of you.

When I think back to when my children were born and throughout their preschool years, Nancy was such an encourager and sweet, sweet friend to me. Always there to answer questions, lend a hand, loan an outfit for 2 yr old pictures, give a baby shower, and on and on I could go. Her very presence could light up a room and comfort the saddest heart! I will always remember her as a worshipper, with her voice lifted and her hands raised in praise to the Father. She taught me a lot about being a mom, as well as being a daughter of the King! I will never forget you, Nancy. Thank you for loving me and sharing a part of yourself with me.

It was a privilege to work with Nancy. As others have mentioned, whenever you saw her the first thing discussed was family. She was so proud of hers and always asked about ours. She has left a lasting impact on many of us.

I so wanted to be at Nancy's Homegoing Celebration today...but I simply couldn't make the timing work out. My prayers are with all the Cook family as well as Jeff, the kids, and the Chandlers. Nancy's whole life was a testimony of her faith in God; I know the celebration today will reflect that and will glorify God even as you say good-bye to her earthly presence.

You all are in my thoughts. We don’t really know each other, but we are extended family!! My dad was Bobby Love, and how ironic that he passed away on May 9 (2008) and now Nancy on May 10. I remember seeing Nancy at a couple of Griggs gatherings when I was a child, and knew of her through other family members. She (along with Jeff, Winston, and Stacy) also sang at my wedding in 2007. But still, I am not sure I ever really had a conversation with her. I always knew who she was, and that she was a wonderful singer, a vibrant, caring and loving person, and a true follower of the Lord. I just wish we all were closer, and surely wish that I would have really known her. I am so sorry for your loss. May all of your wonderful memories and faith help to ease the pain in the days and months ahead.

What a joy is was to know Nancy. She was a lady of Heart, a friend you looked forward to seeing, a Mother and Wife that loved to tell stories about her family, a singer with a beautiful voice and a beautiful demeanor. Her memories will live with us for a long time and we will miss her dearly. We pray for the family she leaves behind and hope that you all can find peace and comfort from your faith. DC and DC

Jeff & Family...I am sorry for your loss. Nancy battled a tough disease and was a "trouper" thru it all. I am very glad to have known Nancy. At our sales meetings we would sit and chat and she would show me pictures of her family. Heaven has received another angel and a shining star. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

My heart breakes of thinking of the difficult battle that Nancy had to fight. she was such a Godly woman and Truely a Proverbs 31woman ! I have prayed for her daily for a long time for she endured a disease that no one should have to face. Yet through her struggle ,she still blogged and used her struggle to show the heart of Christ. She was so beautiful inside and out ! I will remember her always! Will be praying for her family . She was so proud of you guys and her eyes lit up when she talked of you!

So thankful that Nancy and I crossed paths in this life. She was always a ball of positive energy and so the irony of one so full of life and love to be bound up in a body attacked by ALS, I know was a challenge of untold proportions, however, she was victorious even in such a devastating circumstance. What a grand legacy she has left all who have known and loved her especially her children, grandchildren and all who will come behind her. Truly a virtuous woman more precious than rubies with a loving husband and family and friends who realized her value. God bless you all in this tender time.

My sincerest sympathy for the loss of Nancy. I have y fond memories of Nancy growing up. Wanda and my mother were good friends working together in PTA. We, the children of such mothers, were picked to perform many times in different themes to allure parents to attend the meetings. She was one of the most optimistic people I remember knowing.
Thank you, Nancy, for the memories.
