Ruby Clem Tippett, 77, of Strawberry, died Thursday in Jonesboro.
She was born in Calamine, Arkansas on February 21, 1936 to Y.L. Clem and Verna (Clark) Clem. She had worked for Salant and Salant Clothing Manufacturing for 12 years before retiring and was a member of Rosebud Assembly of God.
She enjoyed sewing and made costumes for various entertainers and bands. Ruby enjoyed music, but country and gospel music were her favorites.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Brown of Melbourne; one grandchild, Tammy Huskey; one great-grandchild, Dyllon Freeman; a brother, Leroy Clem of Strawberry; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Ronnie Joe Tippett; a grandson, Jace Paul Freeman; two brothers: Willie Clem and L.J. Clem; and a sister, Lillie Mae Crouch.
Pallbearers will be Alex Latham, Kerry Van Crouch, Bubba Crouch, Scooter Crouch, Allen McDonald, and Matthew Banks. Honorary pallbearers are her nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Roger Randolph and Bro. Curt Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Ward Cemetery in Strawberry under the direction of Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home of Cave City.
Visitation will be from noon until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday.
