Noel Don Gillihan, 76, of Boswell, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2017 at his home.

He was born in Boswell, Arkansas on May 22, 1941 and was the son of William Earl and Bertie Leona (Vest) Gillihan. He was an U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign War. Noel was a factory worker and was a member of the Norfork Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ina Lou (Dickerson) Gillihan of Boswell; and son, Noel Don Gillihan Jr. and wife, Melody of Calico Rock. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, Bryan Dickerson and wife, Naomi, of Norfork; Tommy Dickerson of Washington; and Ray Dickerson of Calico Rock; and sisters-in-law, Inez Riley and husband, James of Walnut Ridge, Bea Childs and husband, Joe of Arizona, Lela Jones and husband, Dean of Missouri, Mary Speaks and husband, Donnie of Calico Rock, and Tina Thorn and husband, Fred of Vilonia. Other survivors include multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Doyle Gillihan; brothers-in-law, Sam Dickerson and Ken Dickerson; and sisters-in-law, Elsie Wicoff and Vertis Morgan.

Honorary pallbearers will be his nieces, nephews and close friends.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel in Melbourne.

Don was my favorite cousin. He taught me how to hunt and shoot. Using Uncle Earl's Browning 22 we killed enough squirrels to fill a room. Our thoughts and prayers to his family. Sorry we couldn't be there.

Donnie was a good friend back in the Calico Rock school days. I have seen him at a few of the reunions over the years, plus he and I both went to the same doctor here in Mtn. Home and we crossed paths there a few times.
