George Guerber Sr., 85, of Cave City died Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at his home.
He was born in Sulphur Rock, Arkansas, on November 11, 1930 to Fred William and Hattie Opal (Tosh) Guerber.

He was a retired tool and die machinist and a member of Caney Creek Baptist Church in Texas.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Luburtia (Brown) Guerber of Cave City; three sons, George Guerber Jr. of Cave City, Paul Guerber of Jacksonville, Florida, and Warren Guerber of Tyler, Texas; one daughter, Opal Mae Campbell of Cabot, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Miranda Jones, Sara Guerber, Austin Guerber, Tommy Guerber, Lily Guerber, Mandy Baker, and Scott Campbell; six great-grandchildren; one half-sister, Carolyn of California; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and three half-brothers.

Pallbearers will be Chad Brown, Chris Brown, Brian Brokaw, Ben Johnson, Ray Tosh, and Steve Green. Honorary pallbearers are Wesley Tosh, Mike Reddick, Randy Green, and the Legacy Hospice caretakers.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Roller-Crouch Chapel in Melbourne with burial to follow at Caney Springs Cemetery in Sage.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
