Melba White, 85, of Melbourne died Thursday, August 7, 2014 at White River Medical Center in Batesville.

She was born December 21, 1928 in Mount Pleasant and had spent the last six years at Pioneer Nursing Home in Melbourne. She worked in orchards and fruit warehouses in Wenatchee, Washington when she was younger and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include a son, Glen White of Wenatchee, WA and a daughter, Linda White of Zion, AR. She is also survived by one grandchild, Susie Courtney of Ellsworth, SD and three great-grandchildren Luke, Aly, and Jacob Courtney.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Lynn White; and one brother.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Reeves Cemetery near Guion under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne.

Visitation will be from noon until 1:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
