Frieda Sparks

of Palestine, AR

September 1, 1935 - March 9, 2018

Frieda Sparks, 82, of Palestine, Arkansas passed away Friday, March 9, 2018. She was born on Sunday, September 1, 1935 to Richard Conner and Maggie Watkins Conner.

Mrs. Sparks is survived by her husband, Millard Sparks, of the home; two sons, Timmy Sparks (Charolotte), of Wheatley, Arkansas; Michael Sparks (Melissa), of Searcy, Arkansas; one daughter, Sabrina Raggett (Nathan), of Bartlett, Tennessee; two step-daughters, Betty Jumper of Palestine, Arkansas; Charlette Caldwell, of Moro, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, and one brother, Carl Conner (Patsy), of Booneville, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Jerry Conner and one sister, Patsy Goacher.

Ms. Frieda was passionate about her faith, family, friends, work, and yard. Each note, call, and visit painted a smile on her face as well as on her soul. She would say "I never knew I had so many friends." The pride she took in the yard was matched only by her dedication to the never ending ideas and vision she constantly developed. Nothing interrupted her pursuit of preventing anyone enduring a loss or hardship from going without good meals and tireless support. She took great joy in delivering each meal and never expected anything in return.
Ms. Frieda always prioritized her faith in the Lord and shared that faith with everyone she met.

Services for Mrs. Sparks will be held Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Salem Methodist Church in Marianna, Arkansas with Brother Mike Bolin officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, March 12, 20108 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna, Arkansas. So sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in the words spoken at Revelation 21:3,4
“With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them.
And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away".
