Charles G. Grigsby Sr., 84, of Marianna, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017 in Memphis, Tennessee. He was born on Tuesday, January 3, 1933 to J.B. Grigsby and Clola Kennedy Grigsby in Leachville, Arkansas.
Mr. Grigsby is survived by two sons, Charles Grigsby Jr. (Brenda), of Conway, Arkansas; Robert Grigsby, of Marianna, Arkansas; one daughter, Betty Rollins (Edmond), of Cotton Plant, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Charles Grigsby (Margie), Tim Brewer, Robert F. Grigsby Jr., Amber Carolyn Kirkley (Bobby), Terri Kristin Barlow, Casey Rollins, Amber Rollins, sixteen great-grandchildren, one sister, Mary Helen Freeman (O'Neal) of Crawfordsville, Arkansas; two brothers, Bill Grigsby (Becky), of West Memphis, Arkansas; James 'Slim' Breeden (Mary), of Paragould, Arkansas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of sixty-five years Marie Braswell Grigsby, one sister, Modina Bryant, eight brothers, J.B. Grigsby, Sam Grigsby, Larry Grigsby, Doren Grigsby, Tom Grigsby, Gerald Grigsby, Tom Grigsby, L.C. Grigsby and one grandson, Bobby Gene Kirkley III.
Services for Mr. Grigsby will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 12:00 P.M. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna, Arkansas with Brother Adam Rowland officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Moro, Arkansas.
