Russell O' Neal Vondran Sr., 84, of Marianna, Arkansas passed away Friday, September 8, 2017. He was born Thursday, August 24, 1933 to Attis Vondran and Etheal Wilson Vondran in Moro, Arkansas.
Mr. Vondran is survived by his wife Betty Vondran of sixty-four years; one son, Russell O' Neal Vondran Jr., of Marianna, Arkansas; one daughter, Sheila Vondran Goacher (Danny), of Hughes, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Jennifer Moore and Jason Crisp; two great-grandchildren, Zackary Moore, Carlee Moore and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Darrel Vondran and one sister, Faye Vondran.
Mr. Vondran was the former Mayor of Moro and also a member of The Moro Men's Club.
Services for Mr. Vondran will be held Monday, September 11, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Moro Baptist Church in Moro, Arkansas with Brother T.L. Gabbard and Brother Cain Wheeler officiating. Russell, Betty Lou, Sheila, Jennifer & Jason; I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. O'Neal was a very good man. He loved you all very much. I will miss the Sunday morning phone calls he and I had together. We solved the world's problems in about an hour and a half each week. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you.
