Shirley Pyron Rowton, 81, of Batesville, AR, passed away from this world surrounded by family and friends on November 26, 2016. She was born June 26, 1935. Her parents were John and Minnie Harding and her first husband and the father of their children was Henry Lester Pyron. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, John Paul Rowton, her three wonderful children and their spouses Lester Wayne Pyron (Beverly), of Broken Arrow OK, Debra Zane Coker (David) of Batesville AR, and Brian Kelly Pyron (Carolyn) of Houston, TX, three step-children; John Paul Rowton II (Ashley) of Harrisburg, AR, Michele Lee (Eric) and Monica Bullock (Jason), all of Hot Springs; nine wonderful grandchildren; Steven Wayne Pyron (Kristin), Jason Cory Coker (Mandy), Cathryn Lea Lefort, Carter Drake Pyron, John Paul Rowton III, William Edwards Rowton, Ericson Daniel Lee, Allie Michele Bullock and Hunter Paul Bullock; four great-grandchildren; Caleb Wayne Pyron, Isaac Dean Pyron, Haley Noelle Lefort and J Calvin Everett Coker. She was an avid collector of Coca Cola items and Elvis memorabilia and enjoyed traveling. She was Baptist and attended Ruddell Hill Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Steven Pyron, Jason Coker, Jason Bullock, Eric Lee, Al Rowton and Kevin Rowton. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to some of her loving caregivers, Dr. Seth Barnes & Staff, Dr. Kahn & Staff and Michelle Lassiter.
Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 30th with Brother Darrell Sulton officiating with funeral services to follow at 11:00 A.M. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna, AR. Burial will be held at Marianna Memorial Park in Marianna, AR. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests a memorial be made to Ruddell Hill Baptist Church, 805 Bethesda Rd, Batesville, AR 72501 in remembrance of Shirley Rowton.
Wayne, Debbie and Family: I just learned of Shirley's passing. I have such wonderful memories of her and growing up on Tennessee Street. Please know that I will be keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.
