Obituary

''The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life: of whom shall I be afraid?'' Psalms 27:1

Gracie Pauline Hawkins was born September 25, 1919 to the late Clabinonne and Mary Lou Chisum in Marianna, Arkansas.

She attended school at Robert R. Moton in Marianna, Arkansas.

Gracie accepted Christ at an early age and united with St. Luke A.M.E. Church, where she remained a faithful member until her health failed. Her love for her church remained in her heart and she delighted in her church family visits as she resided at the Crestpark retirement Inn. She loved her church family.

The death angel came for her on Friday evening, February 26, 2016 at Crestpark Retirement Inn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Gloria Johnson and Alice Mayo and husbands: Bro. Johnny Tracy and Bro. J.C. Hawkins.

She developed a special bond with Claudine Holmes and Annie Harris and entrusted them with overseeing her care.

Loving memories will be cherished by her sister, Edna Stovall, nieces: Brenda Johnson, Barbara Johnson and Patricia Johnson; a host of nieces, cousins and friends. Claudine Homes, Annie Harris and The St. Luke Church Family.

''Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.'' Psalms 23:6
