of Marianna, AR
April 10, 1930 - June 19, 2015
My sincerest condolences to the family. Ed, I will never forget the warmth you and Marcelle showed me when I arrived in Marianna for my first newspaper reporting job after graduating college in 1981 at the Courier-Index. Marcelle was an absolute joy to work with and I know she will be greatly missed. May God bless.
" And Heaven was made brighter when she stood within the Gates of Pearl " a quote I think is appropriate. I know nothing I can say will help, but please know that I am thinking about and praying for you.
I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Marcelle as a very caring person and admired by all who knew her. I have been away from Marianna sine '54 but I still try to keep up with the people of Marianna. I am Jabe Keasler daughter.
Mr. Ed, Larry, Pat, Janet, and all of your family, I was so sorry to learn today that Marcelle passed away. It seems as if I've known her and admired her all my life. She was my Girl Scout leader when many of my girlfriends and I were in 5th grade. She taught us much more than outdoor lore. We learned a lot about becoming young ladies and had a lot of fun too. I loved her use of language and thought she helped raised three of the smartest and best behaved kids in town. I know how you all will miss her. Marianna will be poorer by her absence. My sympathies.
