of Little Rock,
March 8, 2018
Mimi Ferguson, 76, of Little Rock, left this Earth and was reunited with her loving husband George, on the other side on March 7, 2018. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 13 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Forever in our hearts, she will always be with us.
Mimi was preceeded in death by her husband, George Ferguson, her daughter, Cindy Ferguson, her mother, Leota Carter, her father, JP Carter,
Mimi is survived by her daughters Sandra Finkbeiner and Boots Ferguson, an honorary son Lefty Williams, her sisters Sylvia Burton and Jaye Fleischman and husband David Fleischman, her grandsons George Ferguson, Eric Hile, and Paul Robinson, granddaughters Dawn Robinson, Brooklyn Ferguson, Meadow Williams, Audrey Williams, and Gina Ferguson, great grandsons PJ, Piersun, and Preston Robinson, George Ferguson, George and Trey Ferguson, nieces Jennifer Sorrels, Stacey Hampton, and Trisha Smith, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and many other family members that she loved dearly.
Mimi was born in Newport, AR on July 12, 1941. She met her husband to be in Little Rock while living there with her father. They were married two weeks later. Cindy was born a year later in 1958. They moved to California and had Sandra not long after that in 1964. Boots was also born in California in 1972. They moved back to Little Rock, AR in 1978. When dad passed away on December 17, 1986, Mimi got a job doing CNA work and started going to nursing school. She worked full time and went to school until she graduated and became an R.N. She worked at Baptist of Little Rock and retired in 2001 as a Charge Nurse. Mimi was the kindest, gentlest, most caring woman anyone could have ever known. She was by nature a caretaker and did so for many family members and non family members. She was known as mom to so many of her daughters' friends. She always put everyone else before herself. She was the strongest woman I have ever known. She would always say that she and all of us girls and her sisters were plutonium magnolias. She was a true angel on earth and now she is a true angel in Heaven. Mom fought a long, hard battle with lymphoma for 18 years until on March 7, 2018, dad finally came and swept her off her feet one last time.
So sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in the words spoken at Revelation 21:3,4
“With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them.
And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away".
My Deepest sympathy To Your Family! Ms. Sandra Please Call Me! Love You So Much. I Wish You Knew How Much! May God Be With You And Family! Stay Strong! Lynn H.
I was privileged to work with Mimi during the late 1980’s at Baptist on the Pysch unit . Unfortunately, I haven’t seen her since then but she was such a special caring and generous woman that I never forgot her .
I hope you’ll be able to find some comfort in good memories and knowing that she loved you all so much .
Marianne Turvey Hampton.
I will miss you deeply mom you were a very special lady
And was always there for you kids and me back in Yorba Linda, CA. I remember all the good times we had dancing to Alice Cooper and other albums and the dinners you would cook were so good.
I am glad you are not in pain anymore and I wish I could have got back down to Arkansas before you left this world but my health is not that good right now either I will always remember you and your smile just like I will always remember dad and how he use to yell at Cindy and I for doing something wrong or the way he used to flip his hair back all the time I could go on and on but I won't be happy your back with your love ones big George and Cindy may you all rest in peace love always one of your many daughters Beverly

Jaye and David, We are so sorry for your loss. May God wrap you in His love and comfort you in this loss.
Mimi was my good friend. We worked years together as LPN's and as she became an RN. We did everything together. People would often call me Mimi and call her Della (LOL). I will miss her dearly as I know you will miss her as well! Sending my condolences as well as my family's.
All the love,
Della
Boots and Lefty I am sending you all love. She was such a sweet lady and she will surely be missed!
Mom, I will miss your smiling face and your hugs. Thank you for allowing me to be your "adopted" daughter for 31 years. Always in my heart. Our newest guardian angel. <3
