Donald Lee Jones, age 87 of Little Rock, Arkansas died Thursday, January 25, 2018. He was born in Rockford, Illinois on August 8, 1930 to his late parents, Horace Wesley Jones and Bernice Leola Follett. Donald graduated from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri with a Master's Degree in Business Management, was a retired Colonel from the United States Air Force after more than 30 years of serving his county, worked for General Motors in Detroit, Michigan and EDS in Bethesda, Maryland. Donald loved God, his family and his country. In addition, he enjoyed gardening, boating and line dancing in his spare time.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Valerie Jones, his second wife, Mary Jones and one brother, Roberts Jones. Survivors include his partner of 30 years, Doris Eazarsky; 2 sons, Norman Jones (Sylvia) of Hume Lake, CA and Jonathan Jones (Tivvy) of Maricopa, AZ; 2 grandchildren, Tyler and Cody-Ann; 4 great-grandchildren, Micah, Asher, Eden and Penny; one cousin, Mona Jones of Rockford, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews in Arizona and New Mexico. His survivors also include numerous children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to whom he served as a father/grandfather figurehead. He was loved and honored by his large, extended family.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00am Friday, February 16, 2018 at Roller Chenal funeral home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, AR (501) 224-8300. Burial will follow at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
