Elissa Mae Schue

January 14, 2018

Elissa Mae Schue, age 31 died unexpectedly on January 14, 2018 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born on April 25, 1986 in Grand Forks, ND where she graduated from Red River High School and participated in swim, track, and cross-country. During this time, she developed a strong love for distance running and earned All-Conference and All State honors. Elissa went on to attend the University of North Dakota, where she had been a Fighting Sioux hockey fan since a small girl.

Elissa had a strong passion for outdoor activities such as camping, hiking and jet skiing. Her creative side was reflected through many talents, to include writing, sketching, jewelry making, cooking, and piano music that could touch your soul.
Her fun loving and teasing spirit inspired smiles and laughter in all who met her and she found great fulfillment in helping and encouraging others.

She loved her son, Jayce, with all her heart as he was the joy of her life. He put the sparkle in her eyes and was the reason for her smile. She was deeply loved by her family and friends and her loss has left a hole in the hearts of all who loved her, laughed with her, and cried with her. We know with confidence that Elissa had a personal trust in salvation through Jesus Christ, her Lord. Through this, we find great comfort knowing that she is at peace in heaven, surrounded by others who have loved her and gone before her.

Elissa is survived by her parents, Gary and Deb; her son, Jayce Michael (4); sister, Jenna (Tommy) Mosley, all, of Little Rock, Arkansas. Also surviving Elissa are her grandparents, Bernie and Etta Schue (Bismarck, ND), Don and Karen Yeager (Maple Grove, MN), and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A service will be held at The Bridge Church in Bismarck, North Dakota on January 29th at 1pm C.S.T.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to North Dakota Teen Challenge (Mandan) or The Bridge Church (Bismarck).

I will always remember Elissa as being full of energy from the time she was little, when I would see her in a restaurant, and the many times I'd see her running and working out. Her eyes would flash and her smile was bright.

You are in my prayers during this difficult time.

We just found out about Elissa last evening! Our hearts are sad! We are constantly thinking about her and all of you! It is difficult for us to even imagine the feelings that you are going through right now...and will go through in the future. As neighbors we saw all the LOVE and support that you gave Elissa! We have spent time talking about all of our memories of this little girl with long brown hair and big brown eyes...that grew up into such a beautiful woman. I still remember clearly the day she came to talk with me when I was working in my flowers. She was soooo cute! We also remember seeing her jog on the greenway, and her BIG smile and hello as she passed us! Elissa was a precious person! We are sorry for your loss!
