Beverly Ann, Sherry, and Nancy its hard for me to be happy and sad at the same time but I choose to be happy knowing that Curtis is in a much-better place and freed from any pains and surrounded by family and friends in Heaven. We will all miss him, especially me, for the friendship we shared for so many years. I'll always remember his time, energy, and knowledge in our personal discussions. He will be missed by his ham radio friends too as well as everybody he came in contact with. We all have grown to respect his support and friendship. May we all share knowing that someday we will all be together and yet still watching others still on earth he's touched. I hope to find him quickly to catch up on discussions past and present. It is with these thoughts that will carry me in times of sadness. Prayers to the entire family and know I am here in any way I can help.

I will never forget how amazing this man is. He was always bright with joy even when he was going through the hardest times, even when he was sick. Yesterday I walked through the front door of his house, I didn't see him or hear him say "There's red on the head!" But I knew he was there anyways. He was such a great example of a Godly man and one of my favorite things to do was listen to him talk to Grandmother and listen to him telling her how pretty she looks. Curtis Cope was an amazing man and I am honored to have been his great granddaughter. I love you Grandaddy.

I loved my Granddaddy so much. I will always remember running into my grandparents house and seeing his sweet smile. "What do you say gal" or "come over here and hug my neck" he would tell me. He always offered me a peppermint even if I had already had one in my mouth. He was the sweetest man I will ever know. Everytime we would leave he would stand by the door and wave us goodbye. I miss him with all of my heart but I'm glad to know that he is up in heaven with the Lord and Uncle Gary. Going to get the mail will never be the same because he isn't here for me to bring it back to. He will always be with me in my heart and I know I will see his sweet face again one day. I hope your flying high granddaddy, and be ready because when I get up there im going to hug your neck and and tell you how much I love you:)

Mr. Cope was such a good friend to my Dad, Bill Copeland throughout the years. I admired and respected him not only for the integrity he had , but his Christian example. I know Mr. Cope and Dad are swapping their stories now on that great playin' field. Condolences to the family.

I am so sad that I have lost my sweet Uncle Curtis. I loved him so much. During this time it really makes me think of how the ultimate witness we have is what people say about us when we are gone. He was a wonderful Christian influence and a great man of character. I will miss him dearly!

Curtis Cope has always been one of the best men I've ever known. He's always been my father-in-love. So many memories of him.....our hysterical "surprise" encounter the first day I met him, watching him love his family, realizing the important ways he poured into Deanna and Miranda's lives, and Of coursel the Christian witness he was to me. I remember watching him do Bible studies and reading his Bible. Even though I was an adult, he and Beverly Anne were the first people I ever saw do a Bible study. At that time, I thought only preachers did that. That was one of many ways the Christ in him ministered to me. I knew he always loved me, I pray he knew I always loved him. I thank God for the blessing of Curtis Cope in my life.

My heart hurts for all of his famly, but, I have no doubt that he is walking with our Lord and the Angels in Heaven. Love, Deborah
