Alvin (Les) Cypert, 92, of Little Rock, passed away, April 16, 2017. He was born January 7, 1925 to Prather and Jane McHughes Cypert.

Les was a Veteran and served on the USS Maryland in WWII. He belonged to the American Legion and was a member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Maxine Cypert; daughter, Carrolene Phipps; grandson, Bradley Cypert; brother, Carl Cypert; half-brother, Allen Seymour. Les is survived by son, Maurice Cypert (Robyn); daughter, Quinda Holder (John); grandchildren, Carla Davies (John); Cherri Smith, Windy Lynn (Andy), Robyn Eskola, Blake Gateley (John), Justin Holder (Elizabeth); great-grandchildren, Terra and Hannah Lynn, John Michael Eskola, Garrett Davies, Anjonette Rose, Amber Smith, and Tyler Phipps.

The family would especially like to thank, Martha Stewart for her years of love, dedication, friendship and service.

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 21, 2017 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W. Maryland Avenue, Sherwood, Arkansas 72120.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saline Memorial Hospice, 23157 I-30 Frontage Road, Bryant, Arkansas 72022.

I am sorry to hear of Les' passing, but thankful he is no longer suffering. Les was a great man whom I have known since his days of driving the bus. I have always found him to be kind, a real friend. My condolences to his family.

We are so sorry for the passing of your dear loved one. May your family find true peace and comfort from Gods promise to reunite us with our family and friends by means of an earthly resurrection (John5:28,29). How we all long for the fulfillment of this wonderful promise from our Heavenly Father.
