James "Jim" Ronald BranhamI am a Veteran.

of Maumelle, AR

January 4, 1947 - February 1, 2017

James ''Jim'' Ronald Branham, 70, of Maumelle, AR went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 1, 2017. He was born January 4, 1947 to the late, J.R. and Marie White Branham of Des Arc, AR.

Jim was a 1965 graduate of Des Arc High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1967-1971. After 28 years with the State of Arkansas, Jim retired on July 1, 2015 as the Collections Manager of the Department of Finance and Administration.

Jim's favorite pastime was shooting pool with old friends at VFW 9095 in Little Rock and with new friends he made from VFW 2256 in Benton. From his infectious smile and outgoing personality to his warm heart and gentle soul, he had the innate ability to make everyone around him feel special. As much as he adored his friends, nothing compared to the love he held for his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Jim leaves behind his loving wife, Becky (Childers); sons, Chris and Jason (Laurie); grandsons, Blake and Beckham; and a host of family and friends.

He was dearly loved and will forever be missed.

To honor Jim's request, please do not send flowers, but consider donating to the American Cancer Society: https://donate3.cancer.org or the charity of your choice.

I have just learned of Jim's passing. I was stationed with Jim in Wyoming from 1970 - 71 and worked directly with him in the Personnel Office. What a great guy! I am so sorry to have found this out.
My sincere condolences to you, Becky, and all of your family. He is greatly missed.

Becky,
So sorry to hear of Jim's Passing. He was such a great guy who always had a smile that light up a room. He told some of the best jokes/stories I ever heard. There was not a single day that went by when I was around him that he didn't have me laughing. He will be greatly missed by all. May you and your family find peace and comfort in your memories.

We are heartbroken over the loss of our friend, but we know we will see him again on the other side, we can take comfort in knowing that he is no longer in pain. So this is not goodbye but till we meet again. You were a wonderful man so easy to get to know and love. We will miss you terribly.

prayers for Becky and his children and grandchildren as they transition to a new life without him, remember to lean on God because he will never leave you nor forsake you. John 3:16 says: for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son and that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. We know that Jim believed and he shall have that everlasting life. Love to you all this day and always.

Jim was well thought of in the Des Arc area and his parents were some of the finest people one could ever hope to meet. We called him Ronnie in his younger years and his broad smile is what comes to mind when I think of him. He, like his father, was a fine man. HIs children and grandchildren should be very proud of him. Rest in Peace old friend. Harvey Joe Sanner

I was blessed to get to know Jim through Becky while we worked together at DFA. They became friends to me and I will never forget the times they helped me. Jim was a good man that always had a smile! For two people that seemed opposite, they had a sweet relationship. My love and prayers go out to Becky and the family. May God keep you in His arms and guide you through this valley.
