Kathryn Roady Hamner, 83, of Little Rock died November 23, 2016 after a long illness. She was born July 22, 1933 in New Blaine, AR and lived most of her life in Central Arkansas. A retired homemaker, she graduated from Paris, AR High School in 1951 and attended Draughon School of Business. She was a United Methodist, first at Oak Forest UMC for a number of years and later Pulaski Heights UMC / Dietz Dialogue Class.
Kathryn was married for 64 years to Jerome H. Hamner of Little Rock, who survives her.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, C.C. "Bud" Roady and Inez M. Sory; brother, Fred M. Sisk; and a daughter, Susan Hamner Ruple. She is survived by her son, Harry J. Hamner of Little Rock (Rebecca); son, William H. Hamner of Little Rock; granddaughters, April Hamner Hicks (Jacob) of Okinawa and Leah M. Hamner of Central AR; grandsons, Jack D. Ruple, Jr. and John D. Ruple (Karrah) of Conway, AR; great-grandchildren, Samantha Hicks and Austin Hicks of Okinawa; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Arkansas 72211 (501) 224-8300 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 27, 2016. A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Oakland Cemetery in Little Rock officiated by the pastoral staff at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital, 1 Children's Way, Little Rock, Arkansas 72202.

Lynn and I and Sarah and Travis are so sorry for your loss. Kathryn was also so sweet and kind to us. She was always genuinely interested in how Sarah and Travis were doing. It was certainly a pleasure to have known her. She will be missed by many. Sending prayers and love.
