of Little Rock,
April 18, 2015 - September 8, 2015
Catherine Grace Long was granted her angel wings on September 8, 2015 following many months of chronic lung disease. She was born at 10:58 P.M., Saturday, April 18, 2015. Her final days were spent in the arms of her loving mother and father, Josh and Catherine Long.
Catherine Grace's life would seem short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her gentle smile could melt hearts of those around her and though she never spoke a word her voice and thoughts could always be heard.
Although Catherine Grace's illness made her appear fragile she possessed a strength of perseverance and an ability to overcome incredible odds and physical challenges. With her courage she led us to believe that each day is a blessing an opportunity to create lasting memories.
She enjoyed being held by loved ones even though many tubes, IV lines and machines made it difficult on staff, she could always sleep peacefully in our arms.
With Catherine Grace's passing we remind others that her life is to be celebrated, although we will miss her every day, especially her winning smile, she will forever remain in our hearts. Through her teaching about life, Josh and I were able to create wonderful memories and it has been a privilege to be her parents.
Catherine Grace extends her love to her nurses Gwynn, Christina and Cindy, whom took such good care of her on such a level that exceeds far what nursing care require. Josh and I would like to extend our appreciation to Dr. Ashley Ross because of his continual dedication, love and support, Catherine Grace was able to survive some of her toughest challenges. Also, would like to thank Aletra Reason Heard our social worker that worked endlessly to comfort us in our time of need. A special thank you to Arkansas Children's Hospital Chaplin Services for the continuous prayer for our sweet Catherine Grace.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her two brothers, Charles ''Charley'' Allen Bell III and Caden Edward Dunn, grandparents, Wally and Janie Steen of Newport and Grandmother Teresa Long, Great-Grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Coe of Newport and Great-Grandparents Colonel James Henry ''Pete'' and Betty Long of Newport, Uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Joey Steen and Aunt Nicole Long, and many friends and family that loved her so much.
She is greeted in Heaven by her Great-Great grandmother Catherine Coe, Grandparents Wallace and Opal Steen, Great-Grandmother Charlene Long, Grandfather Michael Long, Uncle Joey Coe, Uncle and Scooter Coe.
Catherine Grace is deeply loved by her mother and father and will always remain her parent's precious baby and they will hold her again in heaven one sweet day. Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. 3:00 P.M. on Monday, September 14, 2015 and services will follow at 3:00 P.M. at Immanuel Baptist Church, 501 N Shackleford Rd, Little Rock, AR 72211 with Pastor Brandon Watson officiating.
