Patsy (Pat) Lou Holt Walker

of Little Rock, AR

December 18, 1931 - August 22, 2015

Patsy (Pat) Lou Holt Walker went to be with our Lord, August 22, 2015. She was born December 18, 1931 in McRae, Arkansas to the late Almous and Allie Holt. She was the Salutatorian of her graduating Class of 1949. She graduated from the Beebe Junior College. She retired from the Arkansas Employment Security Division where she was an accountant. With the way she loved to count the numbers, we know she counted the stairs on her way to heaven. She was a member of Western Hills United Methodist Church since April 14, 1964. She loved her church and served on several different committees throughout the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her infant son, Keith Walker, her sister, Dollie Robison of Forrest City, and her brother, Kip Holt of McRae. She is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, Cletus Max Walker, her son and daughter-in-law, Dan Max Walker and Cecilia Howell Walker and her daughter, Tina Lou Walker Davis and three grandsons, Cody Walker, Clayton Walker and Spencer Davis, one sister, Allene Holt Sneed and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was a loving wife and mother. The time that she got to spend with her grandsons was very special to her. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved fishing, her flowers, crossword, jumble, Sudoku puzzles and watching the birds in her back yard. Her favorites were her bluebirds that nested in her bird houses every year. One of her biggest enjoyments was her line dancing that she did with her friends at Trinity Methodist Church. Her lively spirit and energy will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

We would like to thank the Hospice Home Care Center on Bowman Road in Little Rock for the many acts of kindness and support given to our mother and family.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 27, 2015 at the Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel with a graveside service to follow at the Pinecrest Memorial Park, 7401 Highway 5 N, Alexander, AR 72002. Visitation will be held 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at the Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Pkwy, Little Rock, AR 72211 (501)224-8300.

Max & Family,
Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. How we loved Pat and thus all of you as well because of witnessing her great love and devotion for her family. We were privileged to be her and Max's neighbors for over 20 years. Not once did I leave after visiting with her without having been encouraged. She just had that special gift! My daughter Lauren and I considered her our 'Little Rock Mom and Memaw". While my heart aches in this goodbye to such a special friend, I know that it is just for a little while. We will see one another again because of grace alone through salvation in Christ. So you yourselves take heart and be encouraged. That is what Pat would want.

With all our love,
Beth (Hill) Tucker

Pat was my wonderful neighbor and friend for 7 years while I lived in Little Rock, across the street from her and Max. During those years, we often met on our way to the mailbox to exchange neighborhood news and share about our families. It was not unusual for her to come to my door with a plate of cookies, a piece of pie, or some other portion of baked goods she had prepared. Pat kept an eye on my home when I was at work, or when I was out of town visiting my children. She even fed my little family of stray cats that lived on my front porch. She shared all of her magazines once she'd read them, since she knew that I didn't subscribe to any. A more kind, generous, loving person there could not be. I was blessed to know her. My sincere thoughts and condolences go out to her dear, sweet husband, Max, her daughter, Tina, who I visited with several times, and all the rest of her family and friends who have lost a precious part of their lives.

We express our deepest sympathy to Patsy's family in this difficult time. We had the privilege of growing up in McRae as neighbors to Patsy. Our houses were separated only by a strawberry and sometime a cotton patch . We cherish those days with the Holt family and being school mates with Patsy, either in the same class or a couple grades or so grades below her's. Allene was a few years ahead of us in school. Other children in our family were in or close to the school class with Allene. Precious memories of those days are written on our hearts. Unfortunately, we never knew Patsy's husband and children, but feel their loss. Allene, you are truly remembered by the few Thurmans still living. With Christian love, Charles, Betty and Beverly

Max, Tina and Dan, we were all blessed with such a special woman. I have so many happy memories with you all in them. I remember Pat making homemade donuts one morning and thought that was the coolest home cooked meal ever. Pat was always so happy to have us in and out the door growing up. I truly loved her as an extended Mother figure. I will miss her. My prayers are with you all . May you feel God holding you in his hands as he welcomes Pat into his kingdom.
