Randy Rousch

of Bryant, AR

May 25, 1955 - April 9, 2015

Randy Rousch, 59, of Little Rock, AR went to be with our Lord April 9, 2015 surrounded by his family and friends. He was born May 25, 1955 to the late Harold and Ella Mae Rousch in Miami, Florida.

A successful IT Services Manager at Datamax of Little Rock, Randy went beyond business to invest in the lives of his employees and coworkers. When not working hard, he was playing hard on tennis courts and golf courses. Both in the office and on the courts, he was deeply loved by his colleagues and friends. He was a member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church of Little Rock, and he was occasionally seen on stage, acting in holiday productions at Parkway Place Baptist Church.

Under a hardworking, competitive, and fun-loving exterior was a deep, caring man. When it came down to it, what Randy enjoyed most was being a husband and father; he cherished his wife and his two sons, and would make any sacrifice necessary to support his family.

Over the last seven and a half months of his life, with the support of Lori, his boys, and many other friends and family, Randy tirelessly and fiercely battled an aggressive cancer that produced a series of debilitating strokes. His bravery and strength were an encouragement to all.

Carrying his legacy forward on earth include his loving wife of 35 years, Lori Fowler Rousch; two sons, Ryan Rousch (Brooke) of Austin, TX and Andrew Rousch (Carolyn) of Little Rock, AR; sisters, Carol Sylvest (Jimmy) and Sherry Causey, both of Florida; brother, David Rousch (Dianna) of Tennessee; in-laws who were like parents to him, Larry and Mary Fowler of Tennessee; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harold Rousch, Jr.

Services will be held locally at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church, 12400 I-30, Little Rock, AR 72210, (501) 455-3474. The family will receive friends from 4:00 7:00 P.M., Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, AR 72211, (501)224-8300. A Tennessee visitation will be from 2:00 4:00 P.M., Monday, April 13, 2015 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Martin, TN with burial following at Cate Cemetery.

Flowers are welcome and cherished by Randy's family. Alternatively, please consider making a memorial donation to Central Arkansas Radiation Therapy Institute (CARTI), P.O. Box 55050, Little Rock, AR 72215.

Lori,

What a wonderful caregiver you were to Randy. ALL of the slideshow pictures of the two of you as a couple were beautiful!

I did not know Randy well, but I will be impressed for a long time with my memories of your sons showing affection to him in the hospital and letting him know where they were going each time they left the room.

His funeral was a wonderful tribute to his life. I especially liked hearing from his two close friends, whom Randy impacted deeply.

I observed evidence that hIs legacy as a husband, father, and family member will carry forward with strength, due to his rich personal investments.

We hate the suffering that Randy and his loved ones went through over the past 7 months. We give praise that Randy now lives at peace forever with his maker. Our Lord, who grieved with us for the suffering, now celebrates with His heavenly host and believers that Randy is saved. May we now cling to the Lord's promise to comfort us in times of grief and to wipe away our tears. I am thankful that my friend, Lori, was blessed with her Christian husband and their sons with Randy for their father.

I find myself somewhat lost receiving the news of Randy's passing. However, I can say this...

Randy was one of the few men in my life that left a lasting impact on me. He is right up there with my grandfather and father.

Randy was a friend, confidant, and mentor.

God Bless all of you.
