What a wonderful and honoring celebration service for "Bro Hicks". His race is over and he has won. It was good to see all of you Sonja, Stan and Rose, Steve and to meet you Linda. God is still faithful and He stills knows the plans for each of us that remain and "it is good". You will have continued prayers for continued peace and comfort.
Stan, Steve and Sonja,
Sending you all much love and comfort as you lay your Dad to rest. While it is hard to see him go, I am happy to think of him reunited with your sweet Mother healthy and whole. Love you all.
Stan, Sonja, Steve and families,
I wish I could be there to celebrate Uncle Alvin's life with you today. I have so many wonderful memories of Alvin, Catherine and growing up with your family. I can just imagine the celebration and family reunion going on. I Love you all
Jan
I am so sorry I cannot be there for the service. I love Alvin so much. I always loved hearing my brother preach. I sure will miss him.
Love and prayers, Helen
Stan, Steve, Sonja and families
Cheri, Mike and I had hoped to be able to make it to Alvin's memorial service but it looks like we will not be able to be there. I feel so sad about that. I just wanted to send my love to you all and my deepest sympathy for your loss. I loved both your father and mother and know they must be so happy to be reunited. You all will be in my prayers and we will all be thinking of you during this time.
Love, Darla & Scott
Sonja, my heart goes out to you and your brothers at this somber time. I lost my mom a couple of years ago and know how difficult it can be. Be thankful that you had your dad for as long as you did. Call an old friend sometime.
We are so sorry for the loss of your dear loved one and our sincerest condolences to the family. Trials such as this one can be unbearable, "God is for us a refuge and strength, a help that is readily to be found during distress." Psalms 46:1 Draw close to God in prayer, He does not forget the outcry of the afflicted ones. He will give you the needed strength to endure the days ahead.
"No wooden nickels, no rubber dimes."
I have very fond memories of Mr. Hicks and enjoyed taking care of him. My prayers go out to the family.
I would like to offer my deepest sympathies to you. All of us have experienced the loss of a loved one. I am so sorry for your loss. Please know that you are never alone. Turn to the Holy Scriptures for guidance and to help soothe your heart. Psalms 34;18 assures us that God is near to those broken at heart and crushed in spirit. Please accept my deepest sympathies.
