Imogene Lacy Reed, of Little Rock, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2014. She was the widow of Rev. Jesse S. Reed and a member of Parkway Place Baptist Church. Imogene was born in Mena, Arkansas on February 19, 1918. She was the daughter of the late Emory and Maggie Lacy.
Imogene was a graduate of Southwestern Seminary and a faithful servant of the Lord. She supported her husband in his evangelism work throughout the state of Arkansas.
Imogene is survived by her sons, Douglas S. Reed (Janet) of Cordova, Tennessee and David E. Reed (Susan) of Bennettsville, South Carolina. Lovingly known as Memaw, she leaves grandchildren, Mitchell Reed, Jason Reed, Tammy Morrell, David C. Reed, Cynthia Legette and fourteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, James Lacy (Eileen). Imogene was predeceased by six siblings and a grandson.
Our mother and grandmother leaves a legacy of love, faith, and encouragement. We were blessed to be her family.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Parkway Place Baptist Church, 300 Parkway Place Drive, Little Rock. Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Memorial Gardens in Hot Springs. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, September 8, 2014 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Arkansas 72211 (501) 224-8300.

My beautiful Great Aunt Imogene; what a stately, grand, loving, Christian woman, beautiful inside and out! David and Doug, sending hugs, prayers, and much love to you and your families. What an honor it is to all of us to be a part of this family and its legacy. May your hearts be comforted in knowing so many love you and are praying for you.
I was sorry to hear of great-great Aunt Imogene's passing. But what a blessing to know that she is with our Lord & Savior now.
