On behalf of the Class of '46, LRHS, I extend our deepest sympathy to John Fred's family. We treasure all of our classmates. We also knew Martha through working on the Reunion Committee for our class. We are sorry for your loss.
I am saddened to learn this afternoon of Mr. King's passing. He was a fixture at Asbury and in our neighborhood. My thoughts and prayers go out to Gail and Gary during this trying time...
Gail,
I am so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. It is obvious from the Obituary that he was a fine gentleman.
Missing you at work and remembering you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
Cheryl Ingram
Mr. Johnny will truly be missed. He was such a good person and it showed to everyone around him. He will always have a special place in my heart. Prayers for the family.
My condolences to Gary and Gail. Your Dad was one of the finest persons I have known. He had such great love and devotion for his wife, his children and his church. I know there is a special place in heaven for him. I can still see your Dad and Mom in the old Asbury kitchen preparing those Sunday night UMY dinners. What a wonderful legacy they left. God bless you and sustain you at this time.
Prayers are going up for the King family. May you find peace and comfort in knowing that Johnny is with our Lord. Love, Jane Sallee Stoddard

Mr. King was a great and unselfish man. We will miss visiting with him. We always looked forward to seeing him. Prayers for the family.
I wanted to reach out and tell you what a special person I thought Johnny was. He and Martha were friends of my parents for many years. The last time I was with him we discussed a photograph that he had of my Father that I was completely unaware of. It was a photo of my Father playing a piano that had eventually been passed down to me. A few weeks later I received a copy of it in the mail. It is a treasured possession now and sits on top of the piano. Just one example of what a loving and caring man Johnny was. We will all remember what a kind and generous person he was. Our thoughts are with you at this time. Love, Judy Woodruff Barker

Love, Becky and Smitty
