of Little Rock, AR

January 12, 1935 - August 22, 2014

Her family lovingly remembers Dorothy Moore Toll, 79, who passed away at home August 22, 2014, following a long illness. She is survived by her husband, Richard, daughters, Fran and Kathy, sons-in-law Ed Watson and Smokey Vaught, Grandchildren, Katie and Mason Watson; David Vaught (Fran M.) and Julielle Sears (Ben); Great grandchildren, Jacob and Emily Vaught as well as two sisters, Marie Golding and Wanda McAnear and many nieces and nephews.

Her friends remember her as a gifted bible study leader and interior designer as well as a loyal friend. Her personality was lively and fun. She laughed easily but was sensitive to the hurts and needs of others. She resolved to live out her faith in Jesus Christ daily and was quick to share Him with others.

Visitation will be Monday, August 25 at 6pm to 8pm at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home. Memorial service will be Tuesday, August 26 at 11:30am at Immanuel Baptist Church. Reception to follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration, www.theaftd.org.

Dear Mr. Toll, Fran, Kathy and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Mrs. Toll. She was a beautiful, gracious lady. I fondly remember all the afternoons spent in your pool during our growing up years! We loved spending time with your family. I understand that she suffered with a long illness, so I'm sure you can rejoice that she is now healed and is with her Lord and Savior. We certainly will continue to remember you at this time of great sorrow. Many Blessings to you all.

As a Hazen girl, I first met Dorothy at the High School. In later years, several of the Hazen graduates got together and regularly met for lunch and fellowship. Some of the girls in the group are now gone and I am saddened that Dorothy is now one of them. She was a gracious hostess and always kind and considerate. She will be missed. Our sympathy is extended to all the family.

I loved Dorothy with all my heart. She was so special to me as a friend and my Heart to Heart Mentor. We laughed together, cried together, and prayed together. I felt like part of her family. I will never forget my dear beautiful friend. What a priveledge it has been to be part of her life and to help Dick and the family take care of her when she fell ill. My heart sings with joy now knowing she is with God in her Heavenly Home.

Dear Mr. Toll, Fran and Kathy,

Remembering today what a great lady Dorothy Toll was and how very kind she was to me and the entire Weddle family. Many years of friendship and good times.

I remember when I was in the 9th grade I came down with the flu. Mom was working but Mrs. Toll drove all the way down to Horace Mann to pick me up and took care of me until Mom got off work. Such a giving, caring, compassionate person. A strong example of "walking the walk".

I love the Toll family and am praying for you.
God Bless,
Bruce Weddle

Dear Dick, Fran and Kathy - Please accept my condolences on the passing of Dorothy. I understand that even though we prepare ourselves for this time it doesn't lessen the grief over losing the most important person in our lives - our wife and mother. I will always remember her from when I was a child because she was the most stylish and graceful of all my parent's friends. I can still see the beautiful rooms she decorated in your homes and what a wonderful cook she was when we visited. It was a pleasure to have known her and I am sure that a persona as strong as Dorothy's will always be seen in the family she left behind. I will be praying for you all in the coming days. I regret that I can't attend the funeral, I bet it will be as beautiful as she was. I'm so sorry for your loss. Love Roseanne

So sorry for your loss. I did not know Mrs. Toll nor do I know any of her family/friends. Dorothy was gorgeous. She could have been Miss America or something. I was very touched by her obituary & the memorial video. Thanks for making us aware of FTD.

My family and I would like to express our deepest sympathy over the loss of Mrs. Toll.
May you find comfort in your loving memories and the warmth of family and friends. I love the beautiful promise at Revelation 21:4 when death and pain will be gone forever after God restores his original purpose for the earth. We will even see our loved ones again who we have lost in death (John 5:28 & 29). It is our hope that these words bring you a measure of comfort during this difficult time. Once again, please accept our condolences as you deal with your loss.
