Carroll was born in Springdale on July 21, 1943 to the late Arvin Dillard Kissinger and Arminta Fraker Kissinger. He graduated from Springdale High School in 1962 and from The University of Arkansas in 1971. On July 8 1962, he married the love of his life Mary InaVern ''Ina'' Watson. They celebrated fifty-four years of love and marriage on the day of his passing.
Carroll was employed by Harp's Foods in Springdale and Safeway stores in Benton, Conway, Bossier City Louisiana and North Little Rock. In 1979, Carroll purchased his first grocery store and at retirement in 1997 he had owned and operated stores in McCrory, Greenbrier, North Little Rock and Ola. After an over 30 year career in the grocery business; he built his second successful career in cattle farming. Realizing his childhood dream, he developed the farm, one fence row at a time, and built their family home north of Greenbrier. It always brought a smile to his face to look out over the green pastures and rolling hills watching the cattle graze. Carroll Kissinger accomplished his dream.
Left to always remember him are his loving wife, Ina, two sons Jerry Kissinger and wife Susan of Conway and Jamie Kissinger and wife Jamie also of Conway; one brother Donnie Kissinger and wife Maxine of Springdale; a sister Clela Lynch and husband Ronnie of Springdale; his buddy and grandson Alex Kissinger of the home. Additions to the family included grandchildren, Lane and Niki Housley, Lori Johnson, Brandon and Sidney Garrett, Ricky and Sara McClurg, Cody Garrett, Dylan Garrett, and a host of nephews and three great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors and staff at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock for their service and compassion during his final week.
Serving as pall bearers will be Alex Kissinger, Donnie Kissinger, Lane Housley, Leo Wilcox, Aaron McClinton, and Brandon Garrett.
Honorary pall bearers will be Charles Vandergriff, Gene Loveless, Charles Freeman and Stan McMillan.

Jerry,
So sorry to hear about your Dad. I know there is nothing anyone can say, but just know that you and your family are in my prayers.
So sorry Jaime for the loss of your dad. Praying for you and your family.
I am so very sorry to hear of Carroll's passing. Carroll and Ina have been great friends to my grandparents for many years. I've heard many wonderful stories about Carroll from both them and my dad. I know that he will be greatly missed.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time. Carroll hired me at Safeway in 1979. So sorry for your loss. RIP.
My deepest sympathy to the Kissinger family. I worked for Carroll back in the mid-late 1970's at Safeway in Conway. He was a funny guy who kept me laughing most days. He was also a good, fair boss who treated everyone the same. I have a few memorable & funny stories from those days and I will remember Carroll with a smile. :) Rest in Peace ole' friend. You will be missed. God Bless.
