Christopher Jay Haney

of Greenbrier, AR

April 28, 1964 - June 11, 2016

Christopher Jay Haney, 52, of Greenbrier passed from this life on Saturday, June 11, 2016. He was born Tuesday, April 28, 1964 in Biloxi, Mississippi to William Ron Haney and Barbara D. Jones. He enjoyed playing the guitar, singing, taking road trips with his wife, spending time in the country and driving his big red Ford truck, but his greatest joy of all was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Chris wanted everyone to know how special his family was to him, especially his wife who was his constant companion and caregiver. As his health declined Chris made sure to tell everyone who came to visit how much he loved Saundra and what a wonderful wife and friend she was.

He is preceded in death by his son, Jeremiah Ray Haney.

Survivors include his wife of eight years, Saundra Haney of Greenbrier, sons Eric Haney of Conway, Robert Allen of Conway, Cayge Holland of Greenbrier, Levi Holland of Pottsville, daughters Nikki Haney (Taylor) of Conway and Sarah Haney of Conway. Other survivors include eleven grandchildren, parents Ron and Karen Haney of Greenbrier, mother Barbara Jones of Conway, sister Kim Linick of Greenbrier, brothers Jeff Haney (Kristy) of Conway, Jonathan Bradley (Emily) of Conway, Mark Linick of Florida and Kelly Linick of Conway along with numerous nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm, Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier. Interment will follow at Marcus Hill Cemetery in Enola. Visitation will be from 6-8pm, Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at the funeral home.

Kori Garvin, Daniel Bailey, Steve Bailey, Doug Maxwell, Tommy Wardlow and Russell New will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Allen, Cayge Holland, Jonathan Bradley, Jeff Haney, Shane Atkinson and Rex Lassiter.

Chris you were so special, I am glad we made so many memories over the past 34 years. The fish fry's, barbecues, playing horse shoes and volley ball. The end of summer parties at the blue house in Wooster. Watching you play music and listening to your sweet voice as you sang. You were always loving and kind and I thank you for being my friend. We will miss you

My deepest Condolences to the family at such a difficult time. It's never easy even though you know it's coming. Remember there is no timetable on grief,
