Nina Mae Renegar, age 87, passed away Tuesday August, 12th in Benton, Arkansas. She is now at peace with her Heavenly Father and loved ones who have gone on before her. Nina, a longtime resident of Quitman, Arkansas, was born on January 29th, 1927.
Nina was a career elementary education teacher for more than thirty five years in Texas and Arkansas. She had a love for children and touched and inspired many lives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Minnie and Luther Morris; former husbands, Elmer Hightower and Harold Renegar; two sons, Elmer Hightower, and Edward Renegar; one brother, Harold Morris, and grandson, Troy Renegar.
She is survived by one brother, Gerald Morris of Salt Lake City, Utah; three Step-sons, Chuck Renegar of Jacksonville, Texas, Gene Renegar of Mooresville, North Carolina, Gerald Renegar of Benson, North Carolina, seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, August 15th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier, Arkansas. Funeral Service to be held Saturday, August 16th 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Quitman, Arkansas with interment immediately following at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Chuck Renegar, Tim Renegar, and Rick Renegar. Donations in Nina's memory may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital, 800 Marshal St., Little Rock, AR 72202.
