Weldon Alfred Edwards, 70, of Mayflower Arkansas went to be with the Lord on June 20, 2018. He was born October 29, 1947 in Mayflower, Arkansas to the late William Alfred Edwards and Hazel Jewell Green Edwards.
Weldon was preceded in death by his parents, wife Karen, son Scott Edwards of Mayflower, Arkansas, brother Ronnie Edwards of Mayflower, Arkansas, sister Debra K. Henson "DD" of Greenwood, Arkansas and a grandson Weldon Michael Edwards.
Weldon served in the Air Force. He worked and retired from the US Postal Service and Jimmy Green Steel. He attended church at North Little Rock Pentecostal Lighthouse Church.
Weldon has shared his life with Beverly McPherson for 31 years and they have been married for 8 years. He has always loved tending to his horses and barn and had a passion for mowing his grass. He enjoyed playing dominoes at the Diner and eating at Smacks. He had a love for joking around, telling it like it is, and telling the kids stay focused. He enjoyed playing with and spoiling his grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving family, wife Beverly Edwards, daughters Amy & Scott Blair and Heidi & David Long, sons Jake & Heather Edwards and Eric & Kristi Thimm, grandchildren Bailey, Hayden, Skyler, Zak, Trent, Jacey, Collin, and Kacie, and great grandson Toby, sisters, Bettye Campbell of Atlanta Georgia, Patricia & Randall McPherson of Mayflower, Arkansas, Shalla & Mark Pack of Nashville, Arkansas; brothers, Bobby & Elizabeth Edwards of Mayflower, Arkansas, and Thomas Edwards of Fort Smith, Arkansas, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 23, 2018 in the Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel in Conway officiated by Pastor Terry Turner. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Burial will be at Mayflower Cemetery in Mayflower Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Douglas Edwards, Zak Fugatt, Randy McPherson, Hayden Long, Trent Long, Spencer Langley and Brock McPherson.
