Elwin Cleo Lasley, 88, of Mayflower, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, February 9, 2017. He was born Wednesday, April 11, 1928 in Enola to the late Carl Q. Lasley and the late Nora Henderson Lasley.
Mr. Lasley was a retired truck driver and diesel mechanic. He loved hunting, working outdoors especially taking care of his yard and playing his banjo. But his greatest joy was being with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 51 years, Wanda Laverne Davis Lasley; son, Roger Lee Lasley; two grandsons; Billy Shane Lasley and Dustin Boone; three brothers, Rayburn Lasley, Francis Lasley and Elvin Leo Lasley.
He is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Stover (Rex) of Mayflower; three sons, Elwin Lasley (Nancy) of Clinton, Jeff Lasley (Mesa) of Greenbrier, and William C. Lasley (Diane) of Enola; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Sue Farmer (Verlon) of Guy and Marsell Harlan of Pensacola, FL; a brother, Cecil Lasley of Conway; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, February 10, 2017, 6:00-8:00PM at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Funeral service will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, February 11, 2017 in the funeral home chapel with Raymond Lasley officiating. Interment will follow in the Mayflower Cemetery.

"Cotton" was probably the only reason I made 6 1\2 yrs at LPT. from 78-84. Always laughing, always happy, always fixed my truck or trailer, and got me back home. Best mechanic ever,an honor to have known him . Praying for your famiily.
