Karen was always very sweet to chat with when we saw each other in different parties and such. I never heard her complain about her circumstances nor was she bitter. She was a very brave and courageous woman who fought her battle and I am very glad that I got to know Karen. She made me a better person by knowing her. Karen always spoke to me about her family and I know she loved all of you very much. She is at peace with no earthly weight to hold her down; she is with her Lord and Savior whom I am sure has opened his loving arms to welcome her and is comforting her family and friends during this time of grief and sorrow. I think of Karen and I picture her with the smile I see in the picture and the sparkle that I still see in her eyes. That is how I am going to remember her. RIP Karen.
