of Mayflower, AR
May 12, 1922 - July 12, 2016
Mildred Turner, 94 of Mayflower passed from this life on July 12, 2016.
Mildred was born on Friday, May 12, 1922 in Mayflower, Arkansas to the parents of Henry and Hester Woodard.
She was a pillar of the church, of her family, of her home and her life was a testimony to each of those loves. She fed great numbers with her food, her motherly love and her sweet hearted kindness. The strength of her Christian faith leaded many to Christ, especially among the large family she leads, but now leaves behind. Though she's gone in the flesh, her spirit can be seen through the special impact she had on those around her, as they strive to live up to the example she set.
We love you mother, sister, grandma, gee-maw, Aunt Mildred and Miss Mildred.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cecil Turner; two sons, Bruce Harold, Cecil Jr.; great granddaughter, Anna Hudson; four brothers, Earnest, Hargrove, Wilburn and Milburn; six sisters, Lola, Gladys, Ima, Reva, Eva, and Ruby.
She is survived by her two sons, C.H. Turner of Conway, Jackie Turner (Judy) of Mayflower; one daughter, Brenda Turner Lawson of Conway, grandchildren, Candy, Terry (Susie), Allen (Lorie), Gerry (Michelle), Kristy (George), Tim (Stephanie), Mandy, Karon (Mike), Matt, Holly; 25 great-grandchildren; ten great, great grandchildren; two sisters, Wilma Rolett, Les Glover; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 1:00 pm, Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway Arkansas. Visitation will be one hour before at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Mayflower Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Terry Turner, Gerry Turner, Tim Turner, Allen Dodson, George Roberts, and Matt Rawlins. Honorary Pallbearers will be the great grandsons.

MILDRED WOODARD TURNER...Another angel gone, we should smile for we had her a very long time, we can only weep tears of joy as she will never again endure the pains nor sorrows she has encountered here on earth.
Mildred Turner will be a beautiful flower added to the Master's Bouquet. I have been around this old world for a long time now and seen a lot of wonderful people I loved and admired very much leave us behind...But I have had the pleasure of knowing, enjoying and loving three beautiful women that were perfect in my eyes...never saying an unkind word to or about any one...they each loved and was loved by all the folks that knew them...my dad's sister Susan Muriel Raney Hardin...my sons' great grandmother on their mother's side Effie X. Ware and now Mildred W. Turner...May God bless you fine ladies and the legacy each of you has left with us all ...to Jackie, Brenda and C H...Thank you for sharing this wonderful and sweet lady with us all!
With a loving and respectful heart,
Jim Raney

She was a wonderful aunt and precious friend to all who knew her. We always looked forward to our time spent with Aunt Mildred. When we went to cheer her up, we were the ones who left encouraged. We never saw her without a sweet smile on her face and that gentle laughter. She always expressed love for all of her family and especially her Lord.
