Lewis Owen Dalton, 77, of Conway passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015. He was born Sunday, July 17, 1938 in Conway to Gurvus Owen Dalton and Grace Truman (Matthews) Dalton.
He was a Baptist, a member of the Eastside Baptist Church in Conway. Army Veteran, He retired in 2000 from the North Little Roc School District Administration and Kroger's (Salem Road) Conway after 5 years. Lewis was an avid Razorback fan and loved Branson trips.
Lewis is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Judy (Sims) Dalton. One daughter, Connie (Dalton) Settle of North Little Rock, Arkansas. Two sons Jimmy Owen Dalton of Conway and Bobby Lewis Dalton (Kari) of Conway. One stepdaughter, Leann Shaw (Wilma) of Conway; one stepson Michael Shane (Paula) Shaw of Conway. Grandchildren Zach (Shana) Settle of Sherwood, Arkansas and Logan Dalton, Ryder Shaw, Tenley Paige Shaw, Jack Shaw, Adam Freyaldenhoven, Bethany Baca all of Conway. Two great granddaughters Gracie and Audie Baca; three nephews Joe, Tom and Robert Thompson, one niece Lynn (Thompson) Adams. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents and sister Mary Elizabeth Thompson of Conway.
Funeral Services will be at 3:00 pm Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home with burial to follow at Marcus Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm on Friday.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Bobby Dalton, Jimmy Dalton, John Freyaldenhoven, Matthew Leach, Leon Murphree, Zach Settle, and Adam Freyaldenhoven. Honorary pallbearers are Jack Shaw and J.E. Duncan.
Just heard of Mr. Dalton's passing. Worked with him at NLR School District and he was a very nice man. So sorry for your loss.
I am just learning of Mr. Dalton's passing. I have great memories of working with him at the North Little Rock School District. His dedication to the job of assuring young students had clean and safe environment to learn was a testament to the way he lived his life. My condolences to the family at this time of loss. May God's grace be with you.

So sorry to read of Lewis passing. Lewis and I went to school together in Conway and became good friends as classmates. My prayers are to the Dalton Family that God put his loving arms around you and comfort you during this difficult time.
