Russell Kevin Ray Garvin went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 15, 2015. He was born on Easter Sunday, April 6, 1969, in Paul's Valley, Oklahoma.
Kevin was in the Oklahoma National Guard from March of 1989 through May of 1995. He successfully completed Basic Infantry Training, Infantry weapons training and Power Generation Repair Technician training at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Kevin was well known for skills with many types of heavy construction and earth moving equipment, and had worked on numerous paving projects for Interstate Highways and large parking lots in and around Conway. He loved fishing and hunting. Kevin had many friends and will be missed by all.
Kevin leaves behind his only son, Devin Ray Garvin and grandson, Carsyn Ray Garvin both of Noble, Oklahoma, his mother Helen Garvin Wentz, and husband Edward of Conway, sister Gina Sipes and husband Blake, his brother Kori Brad Garvin his sister Karen Pilar Garvin and her mother Edith Garvin of Norman, Oklahoma. Sister Laura Vaughn of Bryant, Arkansas and brother Edward Wentz of Conway. Nephew Zachery Sipes and niece Jessica Lankford.
Kevin is preceded in death by his father, Russell Eugene Garvin; grandparents, Otis and Ila Garvin and Dorothy and Claude Kennedy of Oklahoma.
Funeral service will be held at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at 1 p.m. with Michael Allen Willbanks officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Conway. Serving as pallbearers will be William Zachery Sipes, Steven Blake, Billy Tittle, Richard King, Russell Garrett and Edward Wentz II. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Tuesday 6-8 p.m.
