Robert HeurtematteI am a Veteran.

of Clarksville, AR

June 27, 1946 - June 8, 2018

He was born in Manhattan, NY on June 27, 1946. He was the oldest of 3 children to Neuza Buxbaum and Ernest Heurtematte. He is survived by his be-loved wife Sandra, their two daughters Peninnah and Rebecca and their 3 sons Abdi, Joshua & Carlos. He is also survived by his mother, Neuza and his two sisters Elizabeth and Sandra.
Robert began his spiritual career in Jehovah's organization on January 21, 1973. His love for Jehovah and his neighbor motivated him to make sharing the good news with others a priority in his life. He had the privilege of serving as a special pioneer in Honduras that same year. There he met his faithful companion and on August 1, 1975 they made a vow to Jehovah to serve him together for the rest of their lives. They served together as special pioneers for 4 years and as regular pioneers for 15 years. He also had the privilege of serving as a Ministerial Servant. With their example, they instilled in their children love for Jehovah and the importance of putting the Kingdom in first place in their lives. (Joshua 24:15)
For him it was a very important to study the scriptures deeply and share with enthusiasm the treasures he found in his personal studies. He was always joyful and loving to the friends in the congregation but showed personal interest towards the young friends. He loved to offer himself willingly to help with the friends in cleaning, literature, territories and any privilege that they gave him to serve in.
As a father he demonstrated unconditional love and sacrifice to give his children the best. He was an attentive and loving husband, always putting the needs of his wife first before those of his own. We will never forget his good attitude, warm and contagious smile. He liked to sing to Jehovah with conviction from the depths of his heart. His prayers were tender and full of feeling.
His strong faith and hope in Jehovah was proved by his faithful service until the end. For him Jehovah was his Father, his God and his Friend. He was convinced that Jehovah rewards those who seek him solicitously and never forget the work of his faithful servants. He agreed with the words of Job 14:14, 15 that Jehovah will call on him and will feel a longing to give Robert back his life and be reunited with his family in God's new world.
