Annita Mae Powell, 76 of Clarksville, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, May, 27, 2018 in Clarksville, Arkansas. Annita was born on November 28, 1941 in Wichita Falls, TX to the late Lowrie B. and Marcelia Mae (Huntstable) Box. Annita enjoyed genealogy, crafts, quilting, cooking, and collecting mice and owls. She volunteered at Helping Hands and with the Adult Literacy Program. Annita was a exceptional mother, grandmother and mother in-law.
Annita is preceded in death by her parents, Lowrie B. and Marcelia Mae (Huntstable) Box.
Annita is survived by her husband of 56 years Wendell Ray Powell; two sons: Wendell Ray Powell Jr. of Van Buren, AR and Terry Lee Powell of Wichita, KS.; three grandchildren: Wendell Ray Powell III of Fort Smith AR., Rebecca K. Almond-Powell of Van Buren, AR, and Brandon Hogue of Greenwood, AR; two great-grandchildren Connor Almond and Melody Powell, and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 P.M., on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Roller-Cox Funeral Home in Clarksville, Arkansas. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Roller-Cox Funeral Home in Clarksville, Arkansas with Brandon Hogue officiating.

Annita, Will always remember our friendship at MHS and again at Paris Junior College. You were always there when anyone needed you. Will miss you.

It seems like an eternity ago that we all sat around your house playing with legos, the first video game systems, and pc games like King's Quest. There isn't a day that goes by that I do not wish that we could return to times like that. While I was not an active part in your life over the later years, It does not mean that you were loved any less. You will always be missed. I hope that wherever you are, your times of pain are far behind you.
