Edna L. Nelson, 91 of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017 at her home. Edna was born January 19, 1926 in Canute, Oklahoma to Mr. Alfie Lee Lawson and Ms. Rella Belle (Minyard) Lawson. Edna spent her free time doing craft work, needle work and sewing many different items for her family. She worked as a waitress and cook, to her family she was known as a kind, generous and loving person who always took care of them, they were her everything.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Alfie and Rella Lawson, her husband of 49 years, James Nelson; one daughter, Gayle Webb; one brother, Leon Lawson and four sisters, Flossie Wilson, Marie Cox, Mary Cox and Clystia Cooper.
Edna is survived by her three sons, Benny Rich and wife, Joy of Sacramento, Calif., Dale Rich and wife, Gale of Corpus Christi, TX; James ''Mike'' Rich and wife, Peggy of Horseshoe Bay, TX; two daughters, Clarine Kamphaus and husband, Dwain of Clinton, OK and Ranay Storms of Forney, TX; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
