Ted Marshall Melton, 83 of Knoxville, passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 in Knoxville. Mr. Melton was born August 22, 1933 in Odessa, Texas to Mr. Ted and Mattie Travis (Bullard) Melton. Ted enjoyed being with his family, fishing, playing guitar with his son and grandsons, woodworking, and gardening. Mr. Melton is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Kathleen Carey; and one brother, Carl Lee Melton.
Mr. Melton is survived by his wife, Flora (Troglin) Melton; two sons, Clinton Melton of Knoxville, and Jason Melton and his wife, Annette of Lavaca; two sisters, Louise Crowson of Lamar, and Faye Harris of Clarksville; six grandchildren, Sarah Stewart, Caleb Melton, Jared Melton, Joseph Melton, Matthew Melton, and Abigail Grace Melton; three great-grandchildren, Lincoln Melton, Carigan Melton, and Charleigh Elyssa Stewart.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date, honorary pallbearers will be Caleb Melton, Jared Melton, Joseph Melton, Matthew Melton, Gordon Emmons, and Keith Head.

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss of Mr. Ted. Such a good man and always so good to us. I will keep you all in my prayers. I know I haven't seen any of you in years, I still think of you all often. May God hold you all closely in your time of sorrow and give you peace.
