Sena Bell Parsons, 96 of Clarksville, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016. She was born February 11, 1920 to Mr. Dee and Roxie (Price) Whorton and lived her life in Johnson County, AR and was a faithful Christian. Anyone who knew Sena Bell would know she had a tremendous giving spirit and immense generosity. And that she loved her family and friends dearly and lived for her flowers. Sena Bell was always willing to tell anyone, and sometimes strangers, about the gossip of the day or even family secrets. Sena Bell was, and is, loved for her strong will and being true to herself.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years David E. Blackard in 1975, the father of her children, and husband of 29 years Everett ''Hook'' Parsons in 2006; parents Dee and Roxie Whorton; brothers Franklin and Willie B. Whorton; sisters Joyce Price and Margaret Hardgrave; and son-in-law Melvin Dorn and daughter-in-law Bobby Blackard.

She is survived by daughter JoAnn Dorn, and sons David Blackard (Alesa) and William Blackard; grandchildren Ted and Rusty Dorn, Deanne Marshall and Chris Blackard; nine great-grandchildren; sisters Lois Tucker and Pat Carothers and numerous nephews and nieces. She is also survived by special friend Harmon Jackson.

Visitation will be at Roller-Cox funeral home in Clarksville, AR from 6-8pm on Friday, July 29th. Burial will be at 8:30am Saturday, July 30th at Oakland Cemetery in Clarksville, AR. Pall bearers will be her nephews. The memorial service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Augsburg, AR at 10:00am Saturday, July 30th and presided by Rev Reed Shoaff. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the JRMC Auxiliary: 1100 East Poplar Street Clarksville, AR 72830.

IT WAS MY PLEASURE TO MEET AND VISIT WITH SENA, EACH TIME WE VISITED WITH MY UNCLE HOOK. SHE WAS FUN TO TALK TOO, AND ALWAYS HAD LOVELY FLOWERS IN THE SPRING, SUMMER AND FALL. SHE WILL BE MISSED GREATLY. MAY GOD COMFORT HER CHILDERN AND GRANDCHILDERN IN THIS TIME OF SORROW.
