Wilma Parks, 85 of Knoxville, AR entered into eternal peace on Saturday September 6, 2014 at her home in Knoxville, AR with all of her children with her.
Wilma was born in Rosetta, Arkansas on March 12, 1929 to the late Doc Claude Rutledge and Narcissa (Price) Rutledge. She was a loving and caring mother, mother in law, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, friend and a blessing to the many lives she touched. She was a homemaker, a devout Christian and an active member of the Knoxville First Baptist Church. She enjoyed drinking coffee and visiting with friends and family, working in her yard and was an avid sports fan (watching sports) of every kind, especially the Arkansas Razorbacks.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ernest Parks and Brother James Howard Rutledge.
Wilma is survived by four sons and one daughter. Greg Parks of Seminole, OK; Mike Parks and wife, Yuko of Knoxville, AR; Roger Parks and wife, Pam of Seminole, OK; Jeff Parks of Knoxville, AR; Sonja Parks Jenkins and husband Jon-Claude of Little Rock, AR. Six grandchildren, Richard Parks and wife Beth and Steven Parks and wife Ashley all of Seminole, OK; Kent Parks of Seminole, OK; Stan Parks of Knoxville, AR; Jon-Luke and Ava-Kate Jenkins of Little Rock AR. Five great grandchildren, Case Parks, Linkin Parks, Josh Parks, Britini Parks and Kennedy Coker of Seminole, AR. She is also survived by a sister in law, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
The funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 12, 2014 at First Baptist Church Knoxville with Rev. Richard Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in Knoxville Cemetery with Richard Parks, Steven Parks, Kent Parks, Stan Parks, Case Parks, Josh Parks serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Ava-Kate Jenkins, Britini Parks, Kennedy Coker, Linkin Parks and Jon-Luke Jenkins.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

I'm so sorry for your loss...Your mother was such a special person to me, and my family. She has shown such strength and courage even in some of the darkest times. I will always admire her for the love she showed toward my children and for her own children. For such a petite figure she has one of the biggest hearts that I know. She always been willing to help and never turns a blind eye. She was and will be an inspiration to many for years to come. She will be truly missed, and forever be in our hearts!
