November 22, 1923 - July 31, 2014

Christine G. Moorhead, 90, of Ozone, passed away July 31, 2014. She was born November 22, 1923, in Hardwood, Oklahoma, to the late Henry Hutchins and Annie (Coffee) Hutchins. She enjoyed being outdoors, hiking in her younger years and later working in her yard and taking care of her flowers. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Mel Moorhead; three sisters, Lillie Mae Keith, Ollie Beatrice Cothran and Mary Leona Bearden; two brothers, Ernest Clifford Hutchins and Vernon Denton Hutchins; and a grandson, Brian Moorhead.

Christine is survived by two sons, Randy Moorhead and wife, Kim, of Redding, California and Gary Moorhead of Blythe, California; a sister, Agnes Deretha Keith of Tennessee; three grandchildren, Laurel Moorhead of Chico, California, Kayla Moorhead and Tyler Moorhead, both of Redding, California; one great grandchild, Manuel Moorhead of Chico, California; a longtime friend, Betty Ladd of Ozone, Arkansas; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

There will be a memorial service at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home, with Clifford Hutchins officiating.

At 96 , I'm not able to attend services for Christine. We were the only two left of our family and now I'm the only one. Your sister, Agnes.

Although I rarely saw "Aunt Teen" in her latter years, she remained one of my favorite aunts. She had a lilt to her voice and a unique laugh I shall never forget. Aunt Teen will be missed by all who loved her.
