To Marilyn, Bob, Sally and all of your family--
I was very saddened to hear of Tal's passing. Way too young! While Tal and I had not stayed in touch that much over the years, I have always considered him a good friend and I have very fond memories of the time we spent together--both growing up on "L" street as youngsters and later on in junior high and high school. I will never forget our 1976 Key Club float trip where I messed up big time and directed us to the wrong landing a few miles down from the state park--I thought Tal was going to kill me--he would have had good reason to--but he eventually forgave me and we were able to share a few laughs about the episode! I regret that I will not be able to attend the memorial service tomorrow, but I will be with all of you in spirit. Tal was a great man who will indeed be missed!--Mark Murphy
