F. R. (Dick) Younts, Jr., 79, of Benton passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Saline Memorial Hospital Hospice House in Bryant. He was born February 6, 1937 in Little Rock to the late F. R. Sr. and Rosa Lee Lyons Younts. Mr. Younts retired after 45 years with Southwestern Bell and was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Janis Simpson Younts; one son, Phillip Younts (Leslie) of Benton; two daughters, Cindy Younts of Little Rock and Sheri Coker of Benton; one brother, Don Allen Younts (Wanda); two sisters, Janice Liles (Jim) and Beth Wood (Bob); four grandchildren, Mitchell Younts, Casey Younts, Keri Permenter, and Jenna Coker; two great grandchildren, Balin and Jack Younts, and many friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Salem United Methodist Church with Carlton Cross officiating.

I remember Dickie well from high school. He was a fun guy and I liked him a lot. My how time flies because it seems like only yesterday that we were together at North Little Rock High. My condolences to his wife and all of all of his family.May God grant you peace in knowing where Dick is today.
