Robert Hugh Beaty, age 93 of Benton, AR went to be with the Lord on July 6, 2016. He was born on October 22, 1922, to Robert Templeton Beaty and Xenia Wise Beaty, who preceded him in death. Robert retired from Reynolds Metals Corporation where he was employed as an electrician for over 35 years and a member of Local Union 333. Robert was an Army veteran of World War II where he served with the 252nd Port Company performing missions supplying American forces in Burma and Chinese Nationalist forces in China. He was also a 32nd degree Mason and a member of First Baptist Church Benton, AR where he enjoyed being a part of the Ushers Sunday School Class.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Charlene Nalley Beaty; his brothers, John Beaty, Waylan Beaty, J.T. Beaty, and Charles Beaty; and two sisters, Gladys Harrison and Lillian Toney. He is survived by three children-daughter, Lois Hobby (Donald); son, Bob Beaty (Fonda); daughter, Freida Blackburn (Tommy); eight grandchildren, Ginny Hobby Ulmer, Donna Hobby Lewis, Jeromy Hobby, Terra Beaty Melton, Tifaney Beaty Pruitt, Tanna Beaty Sykes, Lauren Blackburn Harter, and Megan Blackburn; eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.

Special thanks to Saline Memorial Hospice, especially his nurses and CNAs. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church - Building Fund, 211 S. Market St., Benton, AR or Saline Memorial Hospital Hospice House, 23157 I-30, Bryant, AR 72022.

Visitation will be Friday, July 8, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton (501-315-4047). The funeral service will be held on July 9, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Bro. Kim Hammer and Jason Harter officiating with burial to follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
